Raw food is any diet with primarily unheated food, or food cooked to a temperature less than 40 °C (104 °F) to 46 °C (115 °F). Raw vegans such as Dr. Douglas Graham believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost much of their nutritional value and are less healthy or even harmful to the body.
The most popular raw food diet is a raw vegan diet, but other forms may include animal products and/or meat.
